I’ve been volunteering and fostering for the rescue for several years, now and have seen many dogs saved. The rescue has rescued it’s 500th dog in just over three years time and takes small dogs under 15 pounds out of high kill shelters where their days are numbered and places them into foster homes until a forever home can be found.
Recently their vet bills have been rising and need help in paying for taking these little ones in and giving them the love and care they deserve.
The Pet Food Bank
This is a charity was started earlier this year to ensure that pets owners are not forced to give up their pets due to financial hardships.
Recently The Pet Food Bank donated cat food and litter to the Meals on Wheels program who has graciously agreed to take the supplies to the clients they bring meals to on a daily basis. The program has been so well received that they are asking for more supplies!
We provide food and other necessities to ensue families are able to keep their pets in hard times. This is just another way to stop the massive flow of animals into our shelters and help keep families together.
